Welcome to JURE 2008!

The theme for JURE 2008 is Innovative and Creative Perspectives: New Directions in Educational Research. JURE 2008 will be held in the beautiful and vibrant city of Leuven in Belgium from the 8th to 11th of July. The conference presents a great opportunity for junior research to discuss and receive feedback on their research and get involved with other researchers in the same area.

Note: The hotels with the special offers in the list below can only be booked through the registration system! Please DO NOT book hotels by yourself using the discount because it leads to confusion and overbooking.
If you wish to book the youth hostel you have to complete your registration before the early bird deadline (25, April, 2008). After the deadline has passed the youth hostel accommodation will not be available.

Accommodation Special Offers

We have pre-booked a number of rooms in several hostels, B&Bs and hotels in the city centre of Leuven. These can be booked through our online system for the period of the conference so arriving July 7th or 8 th and leaving July 11th. If a participant wants to stay longer, they can contact the hotel themselves for the extra nights, and pay directly over there. In all prices breakfast, service and taxes are included.

Our offers are subject to availability. You will be contacted if a requested room is not available.

Participants can book accommodation together with their registration, and pay for their booking immediately (by credit card or bank transfer).

Please note that you cannot re-enter the registration system to book accommodation without making a new registration.

    Leuven has a modern and well-located youth hostel. It is located just 2 minutes from the railway station and public bus station, from where 6 bus lines depart to the conference venue. You can also walk from the youth hostel to the conference venue in the city centre: it’s about 1 km (so +/- 15 minutes by foot).
    The organising committee pre-booked 80 beds in the Leuven youth hostel. They are divided as follows: 12 x bedroom with 4 beds, 4 x bedrooms with 6 beds and all 4 available bedrooms with 2 beds. Each room has an own shower and toilet. Each individual will get a personal key to his room and the front door of the hostel.
    The youth hostel offers the lowest rate per night in Leuven (18,60 €), and sheets and an extensive breakfast buffet are included in the overnight price.
